Just when we thought we humans can live together despite our differences, a new threat "the Dress" is dividing the whole world on what color the dress is? As some said it was white and gold while the others said it was black and blue.

It all started when a Tumblr user Swiked who apparently is a magician went shopping and discovered this $77 dress at a shop where the dress color visible to her was white and gold but to her fellow friends it looked like blue and black.

Confused if her friends were playing pranks on her she turned to internet where she posted a picture of the dress on Tumblr and the rest was history as millions of people were found debating themselves on the color of the dress as the world went crazy over it.

With many celebrities joining the debate, the color of the dress became the burning topic in every household, news and numerous gossip lines. For example celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Kanye West and Ellen DeGeneres all found themselves disagreeing with the color of the dress.

While some said it was a terrorist plot to divide their nations based on the grounds of color blindness, others reported that the dress color debate broke several relationships. Fancier ones took the help of humor to support their visible color with their white and gold colored cats or iphones and stated that obviously these were blue and black as neither side would budge based on what dress color they saw.

Based on a survey it was found that about 80% of the world population saw the dress color as white and gold while 20% saw it as black and blue.

Taking help of Science to Solve the Mystery of the Dress Color

After witnessing the numerous dress color arguments, memes and humorous explanations, it looks like we need to take the help of the science to solve the impasse and come with the final answer as to what color this dress is.

At a closer look one can see that the dress actually consists of all the colors answered by people all over the world but the majority of the portion being white and gold and a bit of blue and black on the boundaries. So why are people saying they see different colors for the same dress, well it has a reason. According to science it's all about the way human brain has evolved to distinguish between various colors they see through their eyes and how they perceive it.

If you move the dress from dimmer light source to a brighter one you will see that color changes from blue and black to white and gold, so basically the color contrast is related to the light source in which you are viewing the dress.

According to various neuroscientists all human eyes see the same color reflected by the dress but the way they perceive all depends on the way their brains are wired, meaning it's the brains neuro-connectivity to connect the various colors learned to what seen through eyes and for some people it is wired differently and thus they perceive the dress color as blue and black while others see it as white and gold.

And also the dress color depends on the amount of light falling on it which can pretty much change the color of the clicked images

. So Science says that the color of the dress is both white & gold and blue & black based on your brains color sense. So here we have people, the debate is over! the final answer is, all answers are correct while the actual color reflected by the dress remains the same.

• Color Constancy: phenomenon where surrounding lighting affects the way brain perceives the color of an object, Where bright background would make one see a white and gold dress and those with low or artificially dim lights will see it as black and blue.
• Being wired differently: Apart from color constancy some people who are wired differently like the dyslexics or others also perceive the color differently as well.So the final answer is the dress is originally black and blue in color! :)

Color only Exists in Your Brain !

Hmm so now don't go running around to the doctor asking if you are color blind or need contact lenses because you are perfectly alright! it's just that the different colors of the dress all depends on the amount of lighting in which they are viewing the photo.

Because the reflected colors would vary the actual dress color contrast perceived by the eyes and for some it's just that their brain perceives it differently in matching the colors to the image visible to them.

How does GravityLight Work?

GravityLight is a simple pulley system that converts added weights potential energy into kinetic energy which in turn is used by the installed LED light to convert it into free and clean energy. The gravity powered lamp has a cable hanging from a gear mechanism holding onto a plastic bag which can be filled with dirt, rocks or sand (12 kg or more). The gravity pull on the added weight creates enough power to light the LED bulb for up to half an hour or more depending upon how high the weight is raised through the pulley.

The weight pull drives sprocket and polymer geartrain fueling the dc generator inside to produce electricity . The gravity lamp produces an amount of 176 joules on a

University Professor accidentally discovers her 11 year old autistic son's incredible talent of drawing things with incredible artistic precision while reproducing the World Map solely from memory

Watch how scientists at the University of California, Irvine found a way to unboil hard boiled eggs in their attempt to aid cancer research projects for cheaper drugs

While as a average person we thought of playing games with raw eggs and having fun with hard boiled eggs in our kitchen in terms of both easy recipes and pranks, the scientists at the University of California, Irvine were contemplating about things that no average person can even think of, not to forget we also have how to manuals for how to boil an egg itself. These scientists were indulged in trying to "Unboil" hard boiled eggs as they were trying to figure out a way to avoid the protein samples in their compounds from mixing up as they would intermix when subjected to various experiments in the chemical lab. So these chemists thought if they could find a way to undo a boiled egg to it's liquid state, then they could very well apply the research to costlier proteins like antibodies which would further aid the costly cancer research projects by making the process a lot cheaper with their new found discovery of unboiling a hard boiled egg which will make the cancer and other expensive drugs a lot cheaper than the ones already in the usage.

The chemists team lead by Dr. Gregory Weiss's task was to come up with an invention which can pull apart tangled proteins and allow them to refold to their original state that is lysozyme the clear protein that once was egg. To do this scientists started with egg whites boiled for 20 minutes at 90 degrees Celsius and returned a key protein in the egg to working order, then Dr. Weiss and his colleagues injected urea into the eggs to liquefy the hardened proteins of the boiled egg. After the liquefaction process the collided proteins are separated and returned to their original form using the vortex fluid device, which spins material at high speeds to straighten tangled molecules and returns them to their original shape. The high powered machine is designed by Professor Colin Raston of South Australia's Flinders University which utilizes the principle of applying shear stress within thin micro fluid films to those of tiny pieces forcing them back to their untangled and proper form.
