You must have come across things like dog saves owner or baby and many more incredible videos where pets show incredible courage and bravery to save their beloved masters especially dogs with the befitting title of man's best friend, but this time around man's best friend needed a best friend as well and guess what who was dog's best friend ? Well it was none other than the brave officers of the Rescue Coast Guard Station Frankfort, Michigan.Officer Kurt Lubbers of the Coast Guard Station Frankfort saw a dog jump into the icy water near the Betsie Bay of the Frankfort Shipping Channel and immediately signaled for a search and rescue operation as they immediately rushed to the spot to save the struggling dog. After reaching the spot they saw the dog, a pooch was stuck deep in the frozen waters. Brave officer Tim Putnam suited up in ice rescue gear immediately jumped to the dogs rescue as he swam 200 meters deep into the frozen water full of broken chunks of ice and finally getting a hold of the poor dog he started returning back to his fellow rescue

members where fellow officer Jeremy Morris helped the exhausted officer Tim Putnam by entering the waters as well.

Finally the fourth member of the team officer Elijah Webb pulled the struggling dog to safety and covered the poor animal with blankets. The rescue team was further helped by two passerby's Donald Ruff and Steve Brown who helped the team climb up the icy wall and back to safety. The rescued dog was medicated with lots of warm blankets and lots of love as well, as the collar less dog was sent to Animal Welfare League of Benzie County for further care. Altogether it was an extraordinary display of bravery by the rescue team who showed their willingness to save even animals displaying their selfless motto to safeguard lives without the questioning if it's a human or animal. The Coast guard said that the dog probably slipped through the fences and jumped on to the frozen water thinking of it as solid land and it was fortunate that they were able to spot the incident and react successfully to save the poor creature. Way to go rescue team of the US Coast guard Frankfort, Michigan you certainly live up to your motto and great job saving that dog who will probably be adopted by someone and live on to tell the stories of his rescue by the coast guard to his fellow dogs and probably might just visit the members of your team time to time. :)

Rescue Team rescues Crying Dog from Frozen Lake

This video kind of reminded me of the dog who was trying to save a fish with water and for a moment I just thought maybe a fish might come to rescue of a drowning dog some day! Most probably it did be a dolphin. :) ♥
