Watch Jimmy Fallon dressed up as Neil Young impersonate the legend as Neil Young joins him onstage to sing the song 'Two Neil Youngs on a Tree Stump' as the two Neil Youngs sit next to each other on a tree stump
Well they say music can inspire anyone especially when performed by legends as great as Neil Young whose music continues to inspire everyone around the world. Well running along the lines of environment awareness and self awareness on the Tonight Show, the show witnessed host Jimmy Fallon dressed as Neil Young sitting on a tree stump and contemplating about life and nature in the dense woods. As Jimmy Fallon impersonates Neil Young's voice onstage, suddenly another Neil Young shows up on the tree stump which was none other than the legendary musician himself making it a total of two Neil Youngs on the tree stump. It wasn't long when last year Jimmy Fallon impersonating as Neil Young performed the musician's hit song "Old man" with the legend himself.
Neil Young and Jimmy Fallon sing "Old Man"
One guy sitting on a tree stump
Thinkin’ bout life and the changin’ seasons
Whilin’ away the hours of the day
Till the morning comes
One guy sitting on a tree stump
Sittin’ all alone in the noonday sun
Lookin’ for the shade of yesterday,
But it’s all gone
Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump
Where did the other Neil come from?
Came from the future back to the past
To warn your ass
The living tree
Became the giving tree
Become one with nature
Become two of me
We’re two Neil Youngs
Sittin’ on a tree stump
Used to be a tree trunk
But look at what we’ve done
Said the father to the son
The leaves on the trees had to leave and the air that we breathe is gone
What does it mean? We don’t know, don’t ask us
We’re both stumped
Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump
Where did the other Neil come from?
I am you
You are me
Love is love.
Thinkin’ bout life and the changin’ seasons
Whilin’ away the hours of the day
Till the morning comes
One guy sitting on a tree stump
Sittin’ all alone in the noonday sun
Lookin’ for the shade of yesterday,
But it’s all gone
Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump
Where did the other Neil come from?
Came from the future back to the past
To warn your ass
The living tree
Became the giving tree
Become one with nature
Become two of me
We’re two Neil Youngs
Sittin’ on a tree stump
Used to be a tree trunk
But look at what we’ve done
Said the father to the son
The leaves on the trees had to leave and the air that we breathe is gone
What does it mean? We don’t know, don’t ask us
We’re both stumped
Two Neil Youngs on a tree stump
Where did the other Neil come from?
I am you
You are me
Love is love.
